First, it is good to consider your body proportions, the oval of your face and the color of your ‘skin complexion. The hat frames the face, therefore it must enhance you!
The hat is that extra touch but one that must balance all your physical and character traits without creating dissonance.
High crown hats with a raised brim will elongate your silhouette, while wide hats with a downward brim will make you look shorter.
Ideally the brim of the hat should be no wider than the shoulders. The more robust the build, the more you can dare with the shape and size of the hat.
French beret
The French beret is a cap that looks good with everything. It goes with all kinds of women’s outerwear, from the classic coat to jackets, trench coats and blazers in lighter fabrics. Clearly, if the garment worn is of the same material as the beret, the combination is perfect!
